“Here’s the short version: Matt is experienced, kind, honest, helpful, and realistic, and he does an excellent job communicating so that you know what’s going on, what to expect, and that he is always taking into consideration what your goals are. Here’s the longer version: we weren’t sure what exactly to expect when selling our house, but Matt laid out the whole process and made us feel very comfortable and confident throughout the whole process. He has a lot of experience in real estate but also has a very keen sense of what each individual person needs. He is an incredible listener and has a great memory, and it felt very nice to say what we wanted to get, what we wanted to avoid, and how we wanted it all to go - and have him be laser focused on that the whole time. You always hear that buying/selling a house is one of the most stressful things you can do, but the whole time we never really felt that. Yes there are some unknowns and some times of having to wait and see, but during the whole process of listing and showing and offers and negotiation, Matt always made us feel in control and in a good spot. He was spot on in terms of which upgrades to make, which ones weren’t likely to have a good return, and which parts of the house to highlight to drive the most traffic and interest. He is a great combination of optimistic but also realistic, so that you feel excited about the possibilities but aren’t expecting anything unreasonable only to inevitably be let down. We never felt forced to do anything, and he clearly laid out the options and his estimate of how it could turn out based on choosing certain things - and he was right. It also seems like everyone has a story of how Matt helped them with some kind of physical labor project on their house. Ours was helping us lay sod in the middle of summer. He said he would stop by and help and I thought maybe he would be there for 30 minutes. He was there for almost three hours, cheery and upbeat and chatting the whole time. That’s just who he is. You can’t go wrong choosing Matt. He knows so much, he listens to your goals, he shares his thoughts, and then ultimately he helps guide you along to get you as close as possible to what you want. Most of the time you feel like you’re driving and in control, but he’s always there just in case and won’t let you fall.
